We offer hand delivery, with a fee based on roundtrip mileage, in and around Baltimore City & County, Harford County, Carroll County, Howard County, as well Washington D.C., Bethesda, or as north as York, PA. For an additional fee, we can deliver at a specific time. Otherwise, we will deliver prior to your start time on the day of your gathering, according to our delivery schedule. We will send a delivery window that morning.

For local delivery, we will notify the recipient to coordinate delivery times given that you have provided a contact phone number for them. For shipping, you will receive tracking on the item and can notify the recipient if you choose.

Our pre-assorted gift boxes of baked items, custom baked good orders & all kitchen ware, tabletop goods & linens can be shipped. We do not ship fully assembled cheese & charcuterie boards.

Yes! Our baked goods and gifts can be shipped straight to your door. However, our Cheese & Charcuterie boards are only available through local delivery or pick up.

While we do not write on cakes, we work with edible florals and fresh, seasonal fruit to match your aesthetic and color scheme.

Yes! For an added fee we will accommodate custom requests that match our aesthetic.

We source the very best cheese, charcuterie and seasonal produce for your boards, keeping each board unique to the next. These are chef's choice and always include a variety of cow's milk, sheep's milk, and goat's milk cheeses in a variety of textures.

However, we can accommodate allergies & dietary restrictions, as well as create vegetarian boards, if needed.

All boards are intended for single use, and are compostable. If you would like to purchase a wooden board, we can add that to your order for an extra cost.

Yes. You can place your board in the refrigerator to serve the next day. That being said, cheese, meat & fresh produce are perishable and should be enjoyed within 24 hours of delivery.

Yes, we are very happy to accommodate, but please note that we are not a nut-free kitchen and cannot guarantee no cross contamination.

We recommend placing your order as far in advance as possible. We require at least 48 hours notice, and will confirm your order via email. If you have a rush order, please email us at contact@thetraditionbegins.com for availability.

We cannot offer bulk discounts as our pricing is by the piece. Each cookie, cake, tart and hand made item takes ample amount of time & detail.

Very few, but we cannot guarantee that there is no cross contamination. We work in a small space and do not have a separate kitchen to prepare and bake gluten free options.

All sales are final. If you need to cancel your order, it must be cancelled within 48 hours of your delivery date. We offer store credit for you to use towards a future date. For custom orders, cancellations must be made up to 3 weeks prior to your delivery date.
