As mother & daughter, we have carried on, and also created, many traditions over the years. Our desire to slow down and cherish what is most important, time well spent with the people we love, led us to create The Tradition Begins. Our appreciation for slow moments of civility and joy is a gift that we hope to share with you as we assist in elevating your own traditions. As we create each item with thoughtfulness, we pride ourselves on creating one of a kind, personal experiences that become unforgettable & cherished memories.Â
Our intentional approach not only ensures a beautiful product or service, it also enhances the art of gathering through facilitating togetherness and connection. We aim to create memories that continue and create new traditions.
FOUNDERS
After many years in the corporate world, Stacie & Lexie serendipitously ended up in the same place, at the same time, seeking the same opportunity for creativity and connection.Â
Stacie, having previously established Tea by the Sea, the first tea room and gift shop in Maryland’s historic downtown Berlin, developed an eye for classic celebrations, hosting bridal and baby showers, community events, children’s themed parties and coordinating progressive dinners, weddings and luncheons.
Following seven years in New York City, Lexie gained experience in luxury fashion editorials for Glamour Magazine, costume design for TV & film productions such as Warner Brothers’ Gossip Girl, and e-commerce marketing for Ralph Lauren.Â
After moving to Baltimore for a job offer, she was able to continue working in NYC with french bakery, cafe & event space, Maman, assisting during New York Fashion Week shows, bridal showers and brand launches.
